So the big deal first dress fitting has happened! with my mother in tow, my maid of honor and 2 other best friends; we dissed, debated, and adored. in the end, I couldn't get a dress that day. It just didnt feel right. I have this picture in my head of the perfect dress; and the girl helping me find the dress, came very close to it on this day.
problem #1. My dress lady is also one of my past sorority sisters. (super presure to buy one from her). Problem #2. She gave me a "knock-off" of the dress I am dreaming about. looks like it, but is not it! Problem #3. It was my first fitting, and I'm not done playing Bride yet. So I dont want to end the best part - buying the dress- after only the first try.
This was my favorite of the day - the "knock-off" of the dress from Private Label by G, which I am dreaming of. The dress I want has red roses on it. this dress had white pansy looking flowers. maybe if they had been roses, I would have setteled.

So, while I dreamed of my wedding, laughed with my friends, and got all flustered from the excitement and pressure; my best friend, and maid of honor, Steph, snapped what she could of the dresses. here are the best of the best! lol

This was a TuTu/balerina style dress. I absolutely loved it. reminds me of being 5 years old and running around dreaming of being a fairy princess. (I look scared in the second picture - I was feeling quite flustered at this point)
Fashion forward wedding question: To Do the head-piece; or stick with a pricy veil that looks traditional?

The next big question, the one that ended my dress fitting experience, was: do you want your dress in ivory or white? The small details drive me nuts! I am not normally, nor have I ever been, a picky perfectionist. So when this question came along,
- i responded with, well, white, so my tan looks super dark.
- my mother responded; you dont need to tan anymore!
- maid of honor said, Ivory looks good on you right now, but do what you like
- helper lady said; if you pic ivory, everything in your wedding has to change from white to ivory, or you will look yellow.
i think the head piece in your first picture(that's what you were referring to right?) looks pretty damn good, veils are just so traditional and kind of like everyone does it, you know?
