Did you know there is an Irish rule about women asking men to marry them!?

Well, I was attempting to ask my Boy to marry me, and this is how it went...

 *I'm leaning out the window as he paints the outside trim of our house windows. A very Romeo and Juliet kind of moment*
Me: "Hunny, I Love You, We should get married."
SpitFire: "I'd marry you"
Me: "Will you marry me!?"
SpitFire: "you can't ask me to marry you. I'm Irish. "
ME: "What does that mean!? and why not?"
SpitFire: "an irish tradition states that a girl can only ask a man to marry her on a leap year. There's even a movie about it. This girl is running around on Leap Day looking for her love."
ME: ..... .thats just stupid.
